Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated October 25th, 2026.
Your browser and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information. With JavaScript on, this box shows whether we received one from this browser.
Opt out with this form
You do not need an account, and we will not ask you to prove who you are. Submitting the form opts out this browser right away. To cover your Shortlist account or your newsletter subscription too, add the email address or phone number you use with us.
Your opt-out rights
US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, give you the right to tell a business not to "sell" your personal information (give it to another company for money or anything else of value) and not to "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (ads aimed at you based on what you do across other companies' apps and websites). Several states also let you opt out of targeted advertising and of profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. This page lets you use those rights with Shortlist, which is run by BLRB Digital LLC. It is free, and you do not need an account.
We honor an opt-out from anyone, wherever you live.
What we do today
In the 12 months before the date above, we have not sold anyone's personal information. Our apps for iPhone and Android send identifiers (including advertising identifiers) and app events, such as installs, app opens and sign-ups, to Meta and Google so we can measure which of our ads bring people to Shortlist. Under California law that may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, so this page and the app's Privacy choices setting both stop it.
Our Privacy Policy keeps the option to sell or share some personal information in the future, within the limits in its Section 5. Whatever we do, we never sell or share personal information of anyone we know is under 18, of anyone in Europe, of anyone who has opted out, or any sensitive personal information, and we never sell personal information collected through the Shortlist apps.
What opting out does
On this browser, right away. We stop any sale or sharing of personal information collected from this browser. Google Analytics keeps counting visits for us, but with Google's advertising features turned off, and if you sign up for our newsletter from this browser, your subscription is marked as opted out.
For your account or newsletter subscription. If you give us the email address or phone number you use with Shortlist, we apply your opt-out to that account or subscription within 15 business days. If we sold or shared your information between your request and that day, we tell the companies that received it and direct them to stop too. A matching newsletter subscription is marked as opted out the moment you send the form.
In the Shortlist app. On your phone, turn off "Analytics and ad measurement" in Shortlist's Settings, Privacy choices: that stops the sharing from that device right away. When we apply your opt-out to your account, we turn that setting off for your account, so it follows you to every device you sign in on. On iPhone you can also turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking, and on Android you can delete your advertising ID in your device's settings.
Opting out does not stop us from using service providers that process personal information for us under contract (for example, our hosting and database provider), from showing ads that are not based on your activity elsewhere, or other users from seeing what you choose to make public. Your opt-out lasts until you tell us otherwise, and we will not ask you to change your mind for at least 12 months.
Other ways to opt out
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out for that browser, with nothing else to do. Some browsers send it by default (for example, Brave and DuckDuckGo), and others let you turn it on in their privacy settings (for example, Firefox). If we know who you are on that browser (for example, because you sign up for our newsletter there), we apply it to you as well. The box at the top of this page shows whether your browser is sending it.
Email. Write to admin@blrbdigital.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share" and the email address or phone number you use with Shortlist.
Asking for someone else
An authorized agent can send this request for you: tick the box on the form or say so in the email. We may ask the agent for your signed permission before we apply it to your account.
No penalty for opting out
We will not charge you a different price, give you a different level of service, or treat you differently in any other way because you opted out.
